Jay-Z accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Diddy: "The accusations are idiotic, I'm not from that world," he says
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000, reports "NBC News" (NBC News). Sean Diddy Combs was reportedly present at the incident.
In the lawsuit filed Sunday, the anonymous plaintiff said the attack happened after the driver took her to the MTV Video Music Awards after-show party. The lawsuit was filed by Tony Busby, a Texas attorney who declined to comment on the allegations. Jay-Z, on the other hand, called the accusations "idiotic" and accused the lawyer of unprofessional behavior.
"These charges are so heinous that I am asking you to file criminal charges, not civil charges. Anyone who would commit a crime like this against a minor should be jailed, don't you agree? - said Jay-Z to "NBC News".
"Those alleged victims deserve real justice, if that's the case," he added.
Busby has filed several rape and abuse lawsuits against Diddy in recent months. This is the first lawsuit to mention another name.
Before the lawsuit was filed on Sunday, Jay-Z received a letter from his attorney to settle the case. In response to the letter, Jay-Z filed his own lawsuit against the plaintiff's attorney.
“You have made a terrible error of judgment in thinking that all celebrities are the same. I'm not from your world. I am a young man who came out of the slums of Brooklyn. We don't play games like this. We have very strict rules and honor. We are protecting the children," said Jay-Z.
The lawsuit alleges that the then 13-year-old girl was raped by Diddy and Jay-Z at a party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York. It added that a friend dropped her off at the awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall. Then she tried to come to the after-party and approached some of the drivers asking if they would take her.
One of them, the lawsuit alleges, told her he worked for Combs and that she "fit the description of what Diddy was looking for." He invited her to the party and said he would pick her up after leaving Diddy and Jay-Z. Later, the driver picked her up and after 20 minutes they reached the house, where at the entrance she had to sign a document she believed to be a confidentiality agreement, but she did not receive a copy. It is said that there were many celebrities in the house who consumed marijuana and cocaine.
She claims she was offered a drink after which she "got dizzy and needed to lie down" and went to her room to rest. Soon after, the lawsuit alleges, Combs and Jay-Z walked into the room and Combs said, "You're ready to party." Then, she claims, Jay-Z stripped, held her down and raped her while Combs and a celebrity looked on. She claims Combs also raped her while Jay-Z watched.
The lawsuit states that Didi also tried to force her to perform oral sex, but she managed to repel him by punching him in the neck, after which he stopped. After the attack, the lawsuit states, she grabbed her clothes and left. She went to a gas station where she called her father, the lawsuit states.
Jay-Z added that his heart breaks for his family.
"My wife and I will have to sit down with our children and explain the cruelty and greed of people. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, false prophets, will believe the idiotic claims you have made against me,” he said.
