Two children injured in yesterday's accident on the Trakia highway in Bulgaria will be transferred to the Pirogov Hospital in Sofia, said the official Minister of Health of that country, Asen Medjidiev.

There are 14 people in the hospital in Stara Zagora - two adults and 12 children.

Two of the children are in serious condition. One is now stabilized and contactable, but will require surgery. At 9:00 a.m. the child will be transferred to Sofia for pediatric surgery, while the other child has traumatic shock and trauma to the upper limb. His condition has slightly deteriorated. It will be transported to "Pirogov", Medjidiev said.

An adult's limb was amputated, the Minister of Health said.

Those who are in good condition will be transported by ambulance to the border where they will be taken over by the Serbian side.

A bus with license plates from Shabac, Serbia ran off the Trakia highway in Bulgaria yesterday and overturned in a ditch. The accident happened yesterday around 20:216 local time, XNUMX kilometers in the direction of Sofia, near Stara Zagora. The children were participants in a festival in Nessebar. They traveled from Nessebar and are members of the folklore ensemble JU-LIRA from Serbia.

Most of them are from Batajnica. There were 38 children and 11 adults in the bus.

The Minister of Health of Serbia, Zlatibor Loncar, left for Bulgaria during the night to visit the injured and to discuss with his Bulgarian colleagues the further steps in their treatment and whether additional help is needed for the injured.

During the night, the chief prosecutor of Bulgaria, Ivan Geshev, and his deputy, Borislav Sarafov, who is also the director of the National Investigation Service, arrived at the scene of the accident to learn about the course of the investigation.

"Unfortunately, we have chronic problems with both roads and road markings. The prosecutor's office has repeatedly told us that we have problems with drivers who drive motor vehicles after consuming alcohol and drugs," he said.

Two days ago, a pregnant woman and a child died on that highway after a car with Turkish registration plates in which they were being transported ran off the road.
