Two Macedonian tourists were stranded in Filikuri bay near Himara, they were rescued by the police

With a rescue operation organized by the Albanian police in Filikuri Bay, two Macedonian tourists who were stranded in the bay were saved.

- The services of the Himara Police Station, together with a team of rescuers, organized the rescue operation after receiving the notification that two tourists were stranded on Filikuri beach, and one of them slipped and was injured, Albanian media reported.

The woman who suffered injuries from the slip and fall was given first aid and transported to the city hospital. According to information, she is in good health.

- The police guarantee that they are always close to citizens and visitors, ready to offer help in any case. For any similar situation, citizens can contact the free number 112, the police announced.

Macedonians, after Kosovo, are the most numerous tourists who choose the Albanian coast for vacation. Their number this season exceeds 400 thousand.
