Two US military helicopters collided in Kentucky
Several people were killed when two US military helicopters collided in Trigg County, near Fort Campbell Air Force Base, in the US state of Kentucky.
The two Blackhawk helicopters (HH60 Blackhawks) collided while conducting a routine exercise around 22:00 p.m. local time, Fort Campbell director of public affairs Brendalyn Carpenter-Player told Fox News Digital.
- The crew was flying Blackhawk helicopters during routine training when the incident occurred. The status of the crew members is currently unknown. The command is currently focused on taking care of Soldiers and their families, Carpenter-Player said.
Emergency services from several areas have arrived at the scene of the accident, and according to the WKDZ radio station, it is possible that up to nine people may have died.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear confirmed the crash on Twitter, saying there would be several casualties.
"We are receiving heavy news from Fort Campbell, casualties are expected. Police, Kentucky EMS and local officials are assisting," Beshear tweeted.
