The owners of the shops in the City Shopping Center in Skopje are asking the management of AD GTC to immediately respond to them since the warehouse space where the computer equipment was found, with which it is suspected that cryptocurrencies were dug, how much was invoiced for the consumed electricity, where the consumed electricity is measured and with whose approval the repairs were made in the warehouse space in question.

In the written address to the management of GTC, signed by the newly established Association of Citizens Owners of Business Premises in GTC 1973, it is requested that a theft of electricity from the power supply of GTC be reported immediately. They claim to have noticed huge differences in electricity bills, which were billed differently to shopkeepers.

Although the media published the footage from the warehouse space rented by the company of Elvis Bajram, the son of the late MP Amdi Bajram, which shows computer equipment connected to power cables, the Ministry of Interior, which entered the basement of the GTC three days ago, announced that there was no theft of electricity. The management of GTC has the same attitude. Gjoko Trajcevski, director of GTC, for "Morning briefing" said that a small part of the warehouses, including the one in which there was alleged theft of electricity for digging cryptocurrencies, are owned by the shopping center, while most are privatized.

"Although 5 days have passed, there are still no criminal charges for stealing electricity. Not only the private owners are damaged, but also state property is damaged, and we have not seen any investigation to be done, says Toni Nikushevski, one of the owners of business premises in GTC.

He reminded that it is evident that it was cut and drilled in the supporting pillars of the building to perform ventilation and that the inspection should determine what has been done, with whose approval, who is responsible.

"EVN practically denied the police, after which it became clear that we inside the GTC have electricity theft. We demand a proper investigation because days pass and the perpetrators have the opportunity to hide the evidence, to delete the recordings from the cameras. "Do we have public prosecutor's offices? Aren't the recordings that were published a sufficient reason to investigate, how can the Ministry of Interior, after everything that was recorded in the basement of the GTC, leave and say that everything is fine?" Nikushevski asked.

The shopkeepers complain that this case was affected by the fact that GTC, although 85 percent privately owned, exists as a public company in which shopkeepers are never questioned about any decision of the mall management.

Asked if they noticed anything suspicious through the electricity bills submitted to them by AD GTC, Nukushevski explained that he personally has a shop that is a big consumer and is convinced that there was fraud.

"This was not done by anyone, this was done by people who understood electricity, engineers, professionals," Nikushevski said.
