DUI will support the amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government
The opposition Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) will support the amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government, which provide for the extension of the mandate of the current acting officials. mayors in Saraj, Aerodrom and Gostivar until the regular local elections in October next year, Television 24 reported.
The legal amendments will be in the Parliament on Wednesday. In order to be adopted, the amendments need to receive a two-thirds, but also Badenter's, majority of the deputies. If the draft law does not pass, extraordinary elections for mayors will have to be held in Saraj, Aerodrom and Gostivar by the end of the year.
