Drones destroyed a Russian Su-27 at Kushchovska Air Base

A Su-27 fighter jet was damaged as a result of a drone attack on the Russian Kushchovsk airbase.

The attack caused a fire that damaged other fighter planes at the airport.

Satellite images confirm further damage to the airport after the drone attack.

The images also show that after the attack, the Russian Air Force redeployed most of its air force to other airfields.

This is the second drone attack on the Kushchovska military air base in the last three weeks. Earlier, several planes were hit there.

Explosions at the Kushchovsk military air base and at the Slavyansk oil refinery in the Krasnodar region in Russia also occurred on the night of April 27.

On May 3, British intelligence noted that the Ukrainian attack on the Russian air base Kushchovska probably led to the withdrawal of approximately 40 aircraft of various types from the area dispersed at multiple airfields away from the front line.
