The jersey that Michael Jordan wore during the final playoff series of his NBA career has been sold for a whopping $5 million.

Jordan won six championships with the Chicago Bulls, and won the last one in 1998 when he defeated the Utah Jazz 4:2 in the NBA Finals.

- That 1997/98 season is one of the most popular in Michael Jordan's career, and then he reached heights that many athletes can only dream of. That season marked him as a champion and the greatest competitor - says Bram Wacher, head of sales of clothing and modern collectibles.

The jersey worn by Jordan in Game XNUMX of the Grand Final against Utah is only one of two ever to be auctioned by Sotheby's.

The jersey was sold for an incredible $5 million and is the second most expensive jersey sold at a single auction.

The most expensive shirt that Sotheby's has sold at auction is that of the legendary Argentine soccer player Diego Maradona, which he wore in the 1986 World Cup final. Maradona's jersey was sold for $9,3 million.
