Drama on the plane – a passenger tried to divert the flight from Mexico to the United States
Mexican authorities and the airline Volaris announced that a 31-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning for allegedly trying to divert a commercial flight from Mexico to the United States.
After taking off from Leon to Tijuana, the Mexican man, identified by authorities only as Mario N, assaulted the flight attendant and tried to enter the cockpit, reports ABC News.
The plane was diverted to Guadalajara, where it landed and where the hijacker was later arrested by the Mexican National Guard.
