In the season when citizens usually renovate their homes, everything they don't need anymore, including all the rubbish from the renovation, usually ends up next to the dumpsters. There are rare exceptions who take the waste after the renovation to the "Communal hygiene" point in Karpoš, where they can leave it for free, or who rent special containers for bulky waste, which are then taken over by the company's teams, but it is a service that should is paid.

So next to the containers, wild dumps are created where you can see literally everything – beds, tables, old toilet bowls, mattresses, TVs and other old unnecessary parts of furniture or electronics.

"Communal hygiene" has been pointing out for a long time that bulky waste should not be thrown into the containers or left around them, and on the other hand, citizens constantly share photos of overflowing garbage containers and piles of rubble and other bulky waste around them, pointing out the utilities as the main culprits for this situation.

Every citizen who has this kind of waste is obliged to dispose of it properly, this means that he can call the services of JP "Communal hygiene" through the duty phone that is highlighted on our website or take it to the waste selection center and put it away for free. Once again, we appeal to the citizens to dispose of municipal waste properly - in the containers, not next to and around them, which will affect the protection of the environment and avoid the creation of landfills and illegal dumps near the containers - the company points out.

The Public Enterprise, which is the target of citizens' anger due to the poor hygiene in the city, also complains that the city councilors have not yet approved the Program for additional activities to maintain the public cleanliness of the City of Skopje, which is why they have serious problems in their daily functioning.

On May 30, the Program was put to the vote and the councilors of the City of Skopje did not vote on it, that is, it was not approved, and in the next two sessions the Program was not put to a vote at all, although it was properly and promptly sent to the services responsible for the agenda of the The council. Until now, in the past years, this Program, which is of great importance both for the company and for all citizens, has not been voted on, which affects the maintenance and protection of the environment in our city - they say from "Communal Hygiene".

In order to reduce such ugly images throughout Skopje, the municipal authorities will place containers for bulky waste in several locations throughout the city, in which citizens, in order by municipality, until September 11, will be able to dispose of bulky items that they no longer need for free. .

First of all, from Monday to Thursday, containers will be placed in the municipality of Gjorce Petrov, in Gjorce 2, at the last bus stop on line 5, then at the last bus stop on line 4 in the neighborhood of Hrom, there will also be a container for bulky waste at the old police station station and one in Dame Gruev settlement.

In the period from August 9 to 12, containers will be placed in four locations in the municipality of Karposh, namely on Genevska Street near the bus stop at the last 24 street in Taftalidze 2, near the restaurant "Macedonian House" in Kozle, then on Vancho Street Mickov in Dolno Nerezi and on Vasil Chakalarov street behind Porta Vlae.

From August 12 to 16, the containers for solid waste are "settled" in the municipality of Centar, at the parking lot of JP POC opposite "Vero Jumbo", then on Pitu Guli Street, near "Tinex" in the Vodno neighborhood, at the entrance to OOU "J.H . Pestaloci" and at the roundabout in Debar Maalo.
