Additional 240 annual and 264 monthly CEMT permits for transporters in 2023

For 2023, there will be an additional 240 annual and 264 monthly CEMT permits available. From the current 1.440 annual CEMT permits, next year there will be 1.680, and the monthly 2.544 CEMT permits will increase to 2.808, announced today the Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski at the traditional meeting of carriers, organized by the Makam Trans Association.

- In this way, we consider that we provide a special input for the development of the transport activity in the country, said Bochvarski.

He pointed to the importance of the Information adopted by the Government on the conduct of road transport of goods with Ukraine in bilateral and transit without permits until the end of the year, as well as the amended and supplemented Decree on the method of allocation, distribution and revision of the utilization of permits for international transportation of goods, on which they worked together with Makam Trans.

- I want to assure you that in this way we try our best to satisfy the needs of our carriers for the smooth running of the transport. As a departmental Ministry, we remain committed to working with carriers, we remain open and always transparent to you. We implement the transport policy and take serious steps towards providing better working conditions for you and strengthening the transport activity, said Bochvarski.

The General Secretary of Makam Trans, Biljana Muratovska, emphasized that for the first time in four years, a significant amendment was made to the Decree on the distribution of permits and a larger number of CEMT permits that will be subject to distribution in 2023 was made possible.

- We managed to make a change that will give us better results compared to the previous ones. And this time we will have dissatisfied people who expected more and got less, said Muratovska, telling the carriers to see where they are wrong in order to have better results.

He also told them to be together so that they can survive in the conditions of the current crises. - Do not compete with each other, but compete with carriers from other countries. We must be together if we want to survive in these difficult times and survive most crises, said Muratovska at the anniversary on the occasion of 30 years since the first organized meeting of carriers in Rossoman.

At the meeting, the line minister also informed that within the framework of the initiated activities for the negotiation process with the European Union, the screening of the transport line will take place in the middle of 2023, for which the Ministry is preparing.

He also presented the additional permits that have been provided in the past period through the Ministry of Transport and Communications, adding that an increase in the quota of annual permits to and from third countries with the Republic of Bulgaria from 1.150 to 1.500 permits has been agreed, which is for 350 annual permits. more.

In addition, the minister pointed out, we increased the number of transport permits by 300 more permits for international transport with the Republic of Turkey, and from 1.300 permits to and from third countries this year we have 1.600 such permits. In terms of permits for bilateral transport, from the current 3.150 permits we secured an additional 500 permits, so that with Turkey we now have 3.650 permits for bilateral transport. A total of 800 additional permits for Turkey this year...

North Macedonia, as a full member of the Organization for Black Sea Economic Cooperation, received three thousand transport permits from the annual quota for 2022 from the B-SEC system. - We have created conditions for facilitating road transport in the countries of the Black Sea region. These transport permits can be used for the transport of goods in bilateral and transit to Albania, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia, while for the transport of goods to and from third countries they can only be used in Albania , Georgia, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. An additional 400 permits have been secured for our carriers for Italy by the end of this calendar year, said Bochvarski, who was awarded a plaque at the ceremony as a sign of gratitude for the cooperation with Makam Trans.
