The Council of the City of Skopje today at the fourth session adopted several decisions, including the establishment of inter-municipal cooperation with Gazi Baba for financial participation of the City for reconstruction of the street "Pero Nakov", to amend the decision to provide assistance to families of victims and injured in the accident on the highway "Struma" in Bulgaria, as well as for giving subsidies to the public enterprise "City Parking" - Skopje for 2022.

The estimated value for the realization of the reconstruction of the street "Pero Nakov", as it was explained at the session, is 51 million denars including VAT. The City of Skopje will participate one hundred percent in the realization of this cooperation, ie the funds are provided from the Budget of the City of Skopje for 2022.

Councilor Gordan Shutarov from SDSM jand welcomed the initiative for inter-municipal cooperation with the Municipality of Gazi Baba, but asked the councilors to consider in the next establishments of such inter-municipal cooperation to leave space for financial participation of the municipalities, and not to draw funds exclusively from the City budget.

The councilors also discussed regarding the subsidies that will be given to the PE "City Parking" - Skopje for 2022. The amount of subsidies for this year is five million denars. SDSM councilor Ljubica Janceva asked for an answer regarding the development component. The mayor of the city, Danela Arsovska, pointed out that there will be development components in the fact that less funds will be given for subsidies, unlike, as she said, the previous city government.

- This is one development component, the second development component is the consolidation of a loser, for a company that should not generate losses. So, this company, by the fact that it will be a profitable company, and will not be a loss-making company, a situation in which you have brought it with the negligent work of your directors, I think there will be development, and further we will have the opportunity in the next four or as what you said, and maybe forever, to show what and how we know, said Arsovska.

Bojan Hristovski, who is acting director of the enterprise, shared that this is a regular practice for providing subsidies for difficulties in the operation of this public enterprise. He pointed out that this is the smallest figure of subsidies given by the City of Skopje to this company. In 2018 and 2019, as he pointed out, 15 million denars were allocated in subsidies, and in 2020 seven million denars. Hristovski added that there are indications of lack of funds due to non-payment of parking services to certain individuals from the company. For that, as he said, they will work on detecting and proving those potential irregularities. He stressed that he inherits the company with a total debt for unpaid utility tax of 33 million denars.

- I expect the company with a total debt to the City of Skopje for unpaid utility tax of about 33 million denars, a tax that has been collected in the past few years. The company has a current situation of about 26,5 million denars, but still, the debt to the City of Skopje is 33 million denars, explained Hristovski.

The session also adopted a draft decision for taking over an employee, a draft decision for approving a decision for donation of PE "Water and Sewerage" - Skopje, a draft decision for approving the Investment Program of the same company, as well as draft decisions for proposing representative from the City in the management boards of the public institutions for children and kindergartens in the area of ​​Skopje.

The director of the PE "Water Supply and Sewerage", Zlatko Perinski He pointed out at the session that the investment program envisages funds for reconstruction and maintenance of the water supply and sewerage network.

- In the coming period, together with the municipalities and the City of Skopje, we will make a plan of priorities, based on which we will act together with the local governments in order to improve this network as much as possible, said Perinski.

He stressed that in the Municipality of Saraj is the source from which the whole city is supplied with water, but that the collection there, as he said, is extremely low, pointing out that in the future we must raise awareness of the rational use of water, but also collection.
