Homemade walnut mayonnaise: Healthy, delicious spread that will become a part of your everyday life after you try it
This homemade mayonnaise is easy to make and allows for improvisation.
Mayonnaise should definitely not be part of your daily diet, and if you are looking for a healthier alternative to this favorite spread, then you are at the right place.
1 cup cashews
a handful of ordinary nuts
juice of half a lemon
3 tablespoons olive oil (or more if you think it is too thick)
¼ glass of water
a teaspoon of turmeric
with and pepper to taste
Soak cashews in water for a few hours or less, but then the water should be boiling. Put the squeezed cashews in a blender. Add the lemon juice, oil, mustard, water, turmeric and dill. Blend it all well. If you want an original look of mayonnaise, avoid dill, but you still need to know that it gives a great aroma.
Try and add salt and pepper to taste or maybe a little more lemon juice. You can also add very little garlic. Of course try it first, then add the different spices you want.
