The host of the 2022 World Cup, Qatar, hopes to attract more than 1.2 million foreign fans during the tournament, which is almost half of the country's population.

In addition to the hotels that are available, innovative and temporary solutions for the fans will be developed - said Fatma al-Nuaimi, director of communications at the World Cup Organizing Committee.
One of the temporary solutions for the fans, in addition to accommodating cruisers, in private houses and fan neighborhoods, will be the construction of 16 water hotels with a capacity of 1.600 rooms.
Earlier, the organizer announced that it expects about 1.5 million visitors to arrive in Qatar at the time of the World Cup.
The organizer announced that he was also referring to the fans who expressed concern over the lack of entertainment activities in the conservative Muslim state and will allow the sale and consumption of alcohol in special fan zones.
"Alcoholic beverages will be allowed in certain areas," said al-Nuaimi, who acknowledged that alcohol was not part of Qatari culture.
