Awarded the "Most Successful Author and Work" at the 13th International Biennial of Young Artists

The jury composed of: Iva Dimovski (art historian), Velimir Zernovski (artist) and Jane Calovski (artist), unanimously decided the award "Most successful author and work" at the 13th International Biennial of Young Artists - "Passion for wandering" , organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art - Skopje, to be equally awarded to the following authors: Natasha Nedelkova (Macedonia), for the work entitled "Tissues of Identity", video, 2020; Darko Aleksovski (Macedonia), for the work "Never Not in Love", space and video installation, 2019 and Driton Selmani (Kosovo), for the sculpture "No But No (or reverse) / No but no (or vice versa) “, 2019.

For the first time, the award, which consists of a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art - Skopje, is awarded to three authors and works, which the jury experienced for the most convincing achievements presented at the biennial.

Simultaneously with this decision, the need for greater exhibition representation of young authors in museums, support in the development of their artistic practice and emphasis on the need for even more substantial and critical reflection on the topics, which these authors are ready to open and share with the audience.

Taking this into account, the jury congratulates all participants in this year's exhibition and emphasizes the high level of production and conceptual relevance of the exhibited works. The jury also wants to emphasize the essential connection of the concept "Passion for wandering" (curated by Artan Sadiku, Jovanka Popova, Blagoja Varosanec and Iva Dimovski) with the effective model of location dispersion of the biennial, which animates new opportunities for presentation of works and animation of the audience.

The awarded authors will have the opportunity to have a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art - Skopje in 2022, with funds that will be provided by the annual program of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
