Croatia will need 2030 foreign workers by 500.000

Given demographic trends and the low natural growth expected in the coming decades, the problem of labor shortage in Croatia will remain relevant, published Business Journal.

If it continues to grow at the current pace, the economy will lack 450 to 500 foreign workers in the next five years, or by 2030.

If we do not want parallel societies, we urgently need to work on their integration into our community, it was said at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce conference - Education for the Profession of the Future.

The advisor to the President of the HGK, Petar Misevic, and the vice-rector of the University of Sever, stated that it is extremely important for educational programs to adapt, change and revise and thus follow the needs of the labor market.

Croatia must have designed educational policies and new policies in the field of accepting foreign labor, given that the majority of foreigners currently working in Croatia come not only from Southeast Europe, but also from Asia.
