The Anti-Corruption Commission informs today that it is launching an initiative to all competent institutions to determine responsibility for the director and the Board of Directors of the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors due to violations of the Law on Prevention of Corruption and Conflict of Interest, as well as the Electoral Code.

- Competent institutions have 60 days to review and act on this initiative. We remind you that the SCSC opened a case regarding employment in the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors, during the elections, which we found to be against the laws, and this was practically confirmed by the Administrative and Higher Administrative Courts, which rejected the appeal of the Academy for Judges and public prosecutors, it is stated in the announcement from the DCSK.

Anticorruption believes that this initiative is fully justified and that the competent institutions will act accordingly and within the stipulated period.

On April 19, the SCSC passed a decision proposing to the Academy of Judges and Public Prosecutors to suspend the procedure for the admission of 130 trainees until the end of the elections. The decision was made with four votes "for" and one "against" and a lawsuit is allowed for it within 24 hours.

The SCSC made this decision following an objection submitted by the candidate for the president of VMRO-DPMNE, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, that the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors, contrary to the Electoral Code, establishes a working relationship with the candidates who attend the training for judges and public prosecutors.

After the Administrative Court upheld the lawsuit of ASJO, the complaint was returned to the SCCC for further processing.
