BJB Director Janev: The strictest punishments for those who caused the fires

The director of the Bureau of Public Safety Alexander Janev, together with part of his team visited the place "Bukokovo", on the border between the villages of Racino, Kosel and Opejna, where a pine forest is burning, the Ministry of the Interior announced.

As stated by the Ministry of the Interior, Janev thanked for the sacrifice of all involved stakeholders in dealing with the fire, as well as the dedication of the helicopter units at the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense, without whose air support, he says, the fires cannot be brought under control.

"Be careful when you move through the forests, fields, fields, not to throw logs, not to burn stubble, however, general health and human lives are the most precious thing, and arson is a crime of the highest degree," said Janev, as reported by MIA.

All available drones will be engaged, Janev added, which will be in operation 24 hours along with thermal cameras, with the aim of detecting possible perpetrators-arsonists.
