Director Hristovski has yet to "decide" whether he will be Hristovski's assistant
The director of the National Security Agency, Bojan Hristovski, will wait to formally receive the decision of the Teaching and Research Council that he has been selected as an assistant at the Faculty of Security, and then he will say whether he will resign from the position of director of the National Security Agency.
- I have not yet been formally notified of the possible decision of the Teaching and Research Council. As soon as I am informed, I will inform you - said Hristovski in a statement for "Sloboden Pechat" when asked if he will resign from the directorship if he chooses to work as an assistant.
Earlier, the Faculty of Security confirmed to "Sloboden Pechat" that Hristovski was elected as an assistant in the scientific field of criminal sciences at the session of the Teaching and Research Council.
- I am informing you that at the session of the Educational and Scientific Council, the director of the National Security Agency, Mr. Bojan Hristovski, was elected to the associate title of assistant in the scientific field of criminal sciences - it is said in the official response that we received from the Faculty.
By the way, the session the day before yesterday was scheduled for 12 o'clock, but the members of the Council failed to secure a quorum, so they rescheduled it for the evening at 19 o'clock.
The question that arises after his election as an assistant is whether he will now have to give up his directorship at ANB, and for an answer from the Faculty of Security, we were directed to address Hristovski.
According to the legal procedures, if Hristovski wants to be an assistant at the Faculty of Security, he should give up his directorship at ANB, resign from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where his position is on hold, and establish a new employment relationship with the Faculty of Security safety.
In fact, his selection as an assistant should end up being established by the end of this year. When he was elected as director of the National Security Agency, he was an employee of the Ministry of the Interior, and with the appointment decision, he put the employment relationship on hold.
Given that the Government appointed him with a decision, if he decides to be an assistant, the Government should pass a decision on his dismissal.
In order to establish a working relationship with the Faculty of Security as an assistant, however, he has to submit a decision to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to terminate the mandate of the director's position and unfreeze the employment relationship. Then he should resign from the Ministry of the Interior and establish an employment relationship with the Faculty.
The government appointed Hristovski as director of ANB on October 16, and since then the reactions about his appointment and whether he meets the conditions to lead the Agency have not stopped. The most controversial was his TOEFL English certificate issued by the language center "Julia" from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, which was publicly revealed to be non-existent and not being taken. Two female directors have already been sentenced to suspended sentences for the same forged certificate.
The DKSK revealed to "Sloboden Pechat" that in addition to the initial report on Hristovski, seven more reports were submitted.
- Regarding the case of the director of the National Security Agency, Bojan Hristovski, seven more reports have been submitted to the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption. Requests have been submitted for the collection of the necessary documentation for determining the factual situation, for which the legal deadlines for submitting it are still running. After determining the factual situation, the SCSC will make a decision in a public session and will publish it on the website of the Commission, the SCSC told "Sloboden Pechat".
