Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov says she was surprised by the statement of Prime Minister Kovachevski, who said yesterday that all EU member states justified the blackmail of Bulgaria with history.

"First of all, that is not true at all. Where does that impression of the Prime Minister come from !? I have been constantly in the member states in recent years, both from the position of a minister, but even now I have neither seen nor seen an understanding of the anachronistic anti-European Bulgarian positions. In fact, complaints in Sofia that there is not enough solidarity with them and that they are not understood, have been a public topic among neighbors for a long time. And on the same line were the accusations against me directly from Sofia, because I practically exposed their theses, ensuring that they were lonely in the nebulae. Kovacevski's statement is at least careless. "But it can also be dangerous and easily abused as pressure on Macedonian positions," Dimitrov said.

He adds that this statement of Kovacevski "goes in line with Radev, who persistently places such theses, probably forcing domestic policy with the issue."

"Finally, the Macedonian government and diplomacy must wake up again and continue to expose the anachronistic attempts and arguments to destroy the Macedonian identity that almost completely coincide with the Russian narrative about the Ukrainians, regardless of the fact that the bearers may not like it." of this policy in Sofia. Because a "friendship" built on a crooked foundation will simply not survive. Bulgaria has a better negotiating position because it is a member state, but that is why we must not stop reminding that on our side are the principles, European values and international law. And to fight for them. And to ask for help from other member states because we are also fighting for the image of the Union. "And not to indulge in the Bulgarian thesis that their behavior is accepted and supported," Dimitrov wrote.

"So we will be ashamed and will squeeze loudly to shout that our basic rights and dignity are being violated? "Or will we make Radev ashamed when he says that the EU should not have" legitimized Macedonianism "?" He asked.
