SEC: In some places the voting will continue after 19:XNUMX
At several polling stations in some municipalities, voting was interrupted for more than an hour, due to which, according to the DIIC, it will be extended after 19:XNUMX.
In the Municipality of Butel, voting in one polling station was interrupted for more than an hour, in Debrca for two hours, the same in Demir Hisar and Novo Selo. There was a half-hour break in one polling station in Lipkovo, almost an hour and a half in Radovish, in Rosoman for almost two hours. In Centar, at one polling station, voting was interrupted for an hour and a half, in Cair and Cucer Sandevo for one hour each. Where there was an interruption due to problems with the fingerprint machine, voting was extended with a UV lamp.
Instead of 19 pm, the voting will last as long as it takes for the citizens who will be found outside the polling station, in the corridors or in the yard to vote. The SEC forwarded this instruction to the polling stations.
No citizen should be prevented from voting, even if it lasts longer, said the President of the SEC, Aleksandar Dashtevski at a press conference.
The SEC sees the reason for the delay in the crowds in front of the polling stations due to the long ballots and covid measures and because a quarter of the prints are of poor quality and therefore the reading is slow.
The highest turnout by 15 pm is in Aerodrom, 30,71 percent, Butel - 30,96 percent, and the lowest turnout is in Suto Orizari, 19,15 percent.
