We have reported the case to the competent Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, and we expect a competent inspector from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to visit the institution tomorrow," they say in a reaction from the kindergarten in Gevgelija, where a ten-month-old baby was injured the day before yesterday, and VMRO-DPMNE today accused that the director of the kindergarten tried to cover up the case.

The kindergarten does not explain exactly how the child was injured.

"After the inspection, you will be notified of the expert's findings. Until then, we consider MP Petkova's claim to be tendentious and politically colored with untruths about the institution," said the kindergarten teacher.

The case was also noted in the police bulletin today:

"On 24.11.2022 at the Gevgelija Police Station, T.N. (24) from the village of Brajkovci, Valandovo, reported that on 22.11.2022, in the period from 07:00 to 14:45, in a kindergarten in Gevgelija, the employees neglected their duty to care for and educate the children, leaving them for a long period unattended, injuring his 10-month-old daughter. As reported, the employees did not inform him about this, nor did they take the child to a medical facility for assistance," said the police statement.

The Public Prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Gevgelija was informed about the event, according to whose directions measures are being taken to clear up the case.

"Caring for children is our imperative, and in the statement of MP Petkova, it is obvious the concern about the revoked powers of the mayor of the Municipality of Gevgelija over the Youth Development Agency "Detska Radost - Gevgelija" by the Ministry of Education and Culture, precisely because of failure to act in accordance with the legal competences in the field of child protection that the local government has them, it is stated in the reaction from the kindergarten.
