Dozens of military buses left Azovstal

Dozens of buses carrying Ukrainian troops left the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, which has been under siege by Russian forces for weeks, on Sunday, Reuters reported, citing eyewitnesses.

According to the agency, it is not possible to determine how many soldiers were on the buses, nor whether any of them were injured.

It is estimated that there are about 600 soldiers in the steel plant.

The commander of the Ukrainian forces in Azovstal, Denis Prokopenko said he was implementing the military command's decision to save the soldiers' lives, but did not use the word surrender.
