Today is the day when we can give hope to millions of Bulgarians who want our country to have a regular government, candidate for prime minister Nikolay Denkov said from the parliamentary podium.

- Today is the day to elect a government that will have the courage and expertise to make important decisions and bear responsibility for them, stressed the mandate holder of the new Bulgarian Government.

Denkov committed the government cabinet, if elected, to submit a budget proposal with a three percent deficit, to fulfill the obligations of the international program, to work for Bulgaria's entry into Schengen and the Eurozone, to work in close coordination with the National Assembly for implementation of a legislative program, including amendments to the Constitution.

The candidate for prime minister presented the structure and composition of the proposed "Denkov-Gabriel" government, specifying that he will be the prime minister for the first nine months, and Maria Gabriel (GERB-SDS) will be the prime minister for the second nine months.

- My childhood dream was not to be the prime minister of a country in an acute political crisis, with a divided society, my childhood dream was to be a scientist and I realized that, said Denkov and added "therefore, if the priorities are not fulfilled, I will resign".
