They suffered in Lycia during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. Because they did not want to deny Christ or offer sacrifices to idols, they were subjected to various tortures: they were beaten with stones, scraped with sharp iron, their knees were broken, and finally, so tortured and more dead than alive, they were thrown into fire. The power of God preserved them unharmed from the fire. Then they took them out and killed them with the sword. And the Lord glorified them both on earth and in His heavenly kingdom. They suffered honorably in Lycia, in 308.
