On the Monday after Pentecost, a celebration in honor of the Holy Spirit is perfected. This holiday was instituted by the Church to glorify the Holy and Life-giving Spirit, who is one of the Holy and Life-giving Trinity, as opposed to the teachings of heretics who rejected the Divinity of the Holy Spirit and His oneness with God the Father and God the Father. The Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son in everything, that is why He perfects everything with Them, because He is self-sufficient, omnipotent and good. Through Him every wisdom, life, movement is passed; He is the source of all life. He has everything that the Father and the Son have, except unbornness and birth, proceeding from the one Father. Saint Athanasius says: The Holy Spirit was not created by the Father, he was not created, he was not born, but outcomes. But what constitutes the outpouring of the Holy Spirit from the Father is unattainable to us, just as the birth of the Son is unattainable to us. That is why the Holy Orthodox Church has never decided to submit to this mystery of the Deity of human reason, but has always confessed it, according to the teaching of our Savior, Jesus Christ. God reveals to man as much as he needs for his salvation, so many secrets remain for us behind an opaque curtain. By enriching man with spiritual gifts, and by growing in him spiritual fruits, the Holy Spirit adorns man with many virtues, and makes him, according to the words of the Holy Scriptures, a good tree, which bears good fruit. Life according to the Holy Spirit is clearly seen in the fruits of the Spirit, which are, in the words of the Apostle Paul: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, mercy, faith, meekness, abstinence.
