Some of the candidates for mayor of Tetovo did not sign the Code for fair and democratic elections

Not all candidates appeared at the signing of the Code for Fair and Democratic Elections in the Municipal Election Commission of Tetovo, and although one came, he did not sign the document.

The Besa Movement party sent an authorized representative considering that their candidate Bilal Kasami as a leader was at an event in Skopje where party presidents in Skopje signed for fair and democratic elections. The candidate of the Integra party, Snezana Stojanovska did not come to the signing.

- Formally, the candidates for mayor of Tetovo signed a code for fair and democratic elections, which is a legal provision of the Electoral Code, provided by Article 8c of the Electoral Code. Mayoral candidates have vowed to run a fair and democratic campaign. Everyone was duly invited, said Nazmi Dauti from MEC Tetovo.

The candidate of the Party for State and Justice, Afrim Ibraimi came to the event but did not sign the Code.

- Experience shows us that the elections will not be fair and democratic. I will participate in the elections, I usually do not expect votes from the Macedonians, announced from both coalitions how the votes will be processed. "I am fighting to change the elections, there is readiness and hope among the citizens, they have not been given a chance and an alternative so far," Afrim Ibraimi said in a statement to the media after the event.

The code was signed by Teuta Arifi, DUI candidate, Hamdija Elezovic from SDSM, Vulent Murseli from the Alliance for Albanians and Alternative, as well as Sadi Bexheti from DPA.
