De Jong hits back, ready to sue Barcelona in FIFA and UEFA
Barcelona footballer Frankie de Jong does not intend to succumb to the pressure and low blows of the president of the Catalan team, Joan Laporta, and has announced taking legal action.
The newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" writes that De Jong is disappointed with the way Laporta wants to get rid of him and exerts pressure through the media while smearing the name of the footballer, but the Dutchman does not intend to back down and succumb to blackmail.
Information has appeared in the media that the extension of De Jong's contract with Barcelona in October 2020 is doubtful and is subject to an investigation that could lead to a lawsuit against the player, if he does not accept a drastic salary reduction or agrees to be sold.
De Jong does not think of giving in to pressure and through his agent told the management that he is ready to sue Barcelona in FIFA and UEFA.
At the same time, the Dutchman said that he wants to stay at "Camp Nou" and that his relationship with coach Xavi Hernandez is not broken.
