Darwin Hamm is the new coach of the LA Lakers
The current assistant of Mike Budenholzer in the Milwaukee Bucks, Darwin Hamm will be the new coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, announced the journalist Adrian Vojnarovski, who rarely makes mistakes when it comes to transfers in the NBA league. He replaces Frank Vogel, who was sacked despite winning the title with the Lakers seasons ago.
Ham made a strong impression on the Lakers in several areas, including his championship pedigree, his commanding presence, history of coaching stars and toughness. Ham will start assembling a staff expected to include head coaching experience. https://t.co/8hCVatbraw

In the interview, Hamm impressed the management of the LA Lakers, who decided to give him a chance to lead the team from next season, although the former Portland coach, Terry Stots, was also competing for the coaching chair.
Darwin Hamm has already worked at the LA Lakers as an assistant coach from 2011 to 2013, and then worked as an assistant to Mike Budenholzer, first in the Atlanta Hawks and then in Milwaukee, with whom he won the championship last season.
The LA Lakers, although considered one of the main favorites for the title this season, failed to secure a place in the playoffs and that cost the dismissal of coach Vogel.
