The Brazilian football player Danny Alves lost the status of a legend of Barcelona, after he was convicted of rape.

Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for the crime, and now he has lost his status in his former club.

The former Catalan defender is the most decorated player with 43 titles. He played 431 games for the Spanish team and scored 15 goals.

He wore the Barça jersey twice, from 2008 to 2016, as well as in the season from 2021 to 2022.

This gave him the status of a club legend, due to the great contribution he made. However, Barcelona deleted his name from the list after the whole scandal.

Alves committed the crime on December 30, and a few days ago he was finally sentenced.
