After the death of the 14-month-old baby who was returned and was not hospitalized at the Children's Clinic, Dr. Redzep Memedi spoke out. He wrote on his Facebook profile that he is done with the irresponsible behavior in healthcare and if there is an error, there must be individual responsibility.

"As a parent and a doctor, the loss of little Ruja Sulisi is a great tragedy for me!" Ruja was a little younger than my daughter Dua.

There are no words that can give comfort to parents, no words that can ease the pain because there is nothing more terrible than a parent losing a child. Condolences for the pain they are going through, but also a message that I will not remain calm until I find out the reasons for the loss of life of little Ruja," wrote Memdi.

A 14-month-old baby died at the Children's Clinic, he was returned home several times before being hospitalized

Memedi informed that they are cooperating with the investigative authorities.

"Since yesterday, we have been cooperating with the investigative authorities in order to find out all the facts. First of all, I am a father and I have an emotional obligation, and as a professional and ethical doctor, to do everything so that this case does not remain one of the many in the past that had no end.

In the event that omissions in treatment or professional negligence are determined, there will be individual responsibility and sanctions for each healthcare worker - by name and surname. Enough of irresponsible behavior, especially in the area of health!
There is no room for improvisations and shifting blames here!

It's time for responsibility!" Memedi wrote.
