Ministry of Health opened additional hospital facilities as the number of patients in need of hospitalization due to covid-19 increased sharply. The Ministry for "Free Press" says that they monitor the condition of hospital beds on a daily basis to timely plan the next steps, in order to adequately care for all patients in need of hospital treatment.

Due to the continuous increase in the number of patients in need of hospitalization, despite the fact that there are still vacancies, additional hospital facilities will be made available, which in previous months cared for patients with a more severe clinical picture of covid-19, say from The Ministry.

They add that according to the data from the clinical hospitals that come to the Ministry every day, at the moment there are vacancies at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, in the CGH "September 8" and at the TBC Institute. However, according to the information of "Free Press" from the field, last night patients with multiple comorbidities and low saturation were refused hospitalization in the CGH "September 8" and the Infectious Diseases Clinic due to their fullness.

In covid centers in Skopje A total of 174 patients were hospitalized at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, in the CGH "September 8" and in TBC. 576 patients are hospitalized in the infectious wards and in the kvid centers across the country. According to the MoH, there are another 183 vacancies.
