One of the most popular and most optimistic Macedonian songs, the anthology "Knock in a Tree", under the auspices of "Alkaloid" received a new version.

Performed and reworked for more than 3 decades by serious musicians from the country and the region, this time the author Vlatko Stefanovski gave the trust for its performance to the youngest. The timeless verses and the unique remake and performance by the children who are part of the "Give Music" project will also receive a humanitarian note.

The video is directed by Igor Ivanov-Izi, whose realization was taken care of by a team from the production company "Vertigo Visuals". The remake of the music, which has been prepared since January this year, is realized by the music producer Mite Dimovski and the studio "Tralala".

"Knock on a tree" is a song about spring, hope, happiness and the enthusiasm for new beginnings, which in the latest project are rounded off under the motto "Health above all". The band that conveys the message of gratitude to the most affected social categories in the video, according to the idea of ​​the director Ivanov, is a homage to the legendary "Beatles" from the version of their cult album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band “.

The story in the video starts from making cards, which the youngest children prepare in the school yard, and are intended for the social categories of citizens who, although they were affected by the pandemic, did not stop their activities at any moment. Cards with the message: "Thank you! Health is first and foremost distributed by older friends and band members to the police, pharmacists, bakers, public transport, artists, health professionals and others. They are the heroes of the time of the new normal, who tirelessly took care of the timely delivery of food, medicine and other basic groceries; they fought for every human life, took care of public order and peace, communal hygiene, regular transport, delivery and the smooth functioning of the basic needs of the citizens during the pandemic.

"Knock on a Tree", with music and lyrics by guitar virtuoso Vlatko Stefanovski, was first released in 1989, as a track from the last studio album "Putujemo" by the cult group "Bread and Salt". "Alkaloid" AD would like to thank Vlatko Stefanovski for the transferred rights to use the song.

The video will be posted on the digital channels of "Alkaloid" AD (YouTube, Facebook and Instagram). From June 10 to September 20, 2021, on the occasion of its 85th anniversary, the company will donate one denar to the University Clinic for Pediatrics for each review of the video.
