The Chevening Secretariat is accepting scholarship applications for the academic year 2023/2024 from 2 August to 1 November 2022, by applying to www.chevening.org/apply. For 2023/2024, over 1500 Chevening Scholarships will be awarded globally.

They are part of the UK Government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The scholarships support study at a UK university for a one-year master's degree and for individuals who show the potential to become future leaders, decision makers and opinion makers.

The British ambassador in the country, Matthew Lawson, on the occasion of the scholarship call, said that the scholarship is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion to make a change, either locally or globally, who wants to be the best in what they do and if they have the imagination to inspire others too.

There is no such thing as a "typical" student. Your age, race, gender, religion and cultural background are not important to us. We want to see that you have energy, curiosity, a clear vision for your future and the ability to achieve your goals. If this sounds like your description, then there is a high probability that you will become part of the alumni community that counts over 50 members worldwide. Our alumni network is full of dynamic people who share the experience you are about to experience. They will provide encouragement, mentoring, advice and contacts. When you return home after your studies, you'll feel ready to make a real professional difference. The benefit of applying is great, so if you have what it takes to be a Chevening Scholar, I encourage you to apply before the Nov. 000 deadline, Lawson says.

Information on the application criteria is contained on www.chevening.org/scholarships.

As stated in the competition available on the website of the MES, the call for new applicants follows the selection of seven scholars from the Republic of North Macedonia, who received a master's scholarship at a university in the United Kingdom this year. Chosen candidates share their stories via the #ChosenForChevening hashtag on Твитер и Facebook.

The scholarship program was created in 1983 and since then, through Chevening, over 50 professionals have been given the opportunity to develop in the UK. Chevening scholars are from over 000 countries and territories in the world, and in the last five years, approximately 160 scholarships have been awarded.
