Four best slimming and cleansing teas, popular in all detox programs

Detox teas stimulate the elimination of toxins from the body, and often speed up metabolism and the melting of fat deposits. They usually contain diuretics that stimulate the expulsion of excess fluid from the body, and can have a laxative effect, so they will certainly help you feel fuller and lighter. They are very effective and are not without reason popular in all detox programs, but keep in mind that just consuming tea will not give the desired results, at least not to the extent that you expect. By consuming detox teas, however, you will have to pay attention to your diet and avoid foods that harm the body, and regularly engage in some physical activity that will make you sweat and thus contribute to cleansing the whole organism. If you decide to reach for tea to improve the detoxification process of the body, here are some detox teas suggested by nutritionists.

Dandelion tea

Urination is one of the ways to excrete toxins from the body, and dandelion root has a diuretic effect. Dandelion root tea is a great help in cleansing the kidneys and liver. Dry the root and chop it (you can also buy it already dried and chopped in herbal pharmacies), put 3-5 grams in lukewarm water and cook for 10 minutes, then strain. You can drink it three times a day, and it is best to drink it half an hour before eating.

Ginger and turmeric tea

Turmeric owes its reputation as an elixir of health to curcumin, an active substance that improves the function of enzymes that stimulate the secretion of toxins and contains antioxidants that regenerate liver cells.

Ginger is a powerful antioxidant that improves liver function and is great for detoxifying the body.

Drinking tea made from these two ingredients at night before bed will help cleanse the body of toxins. In a liter of boiled water add ginger cut into pieces (a piece of about 5 cm) and cook for 5 minutes, then add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Leave for 10 minutes, strain, season with the juice of one lemon and honey if desired and drink it during the day.

Parsley tea

Parsley stimulates the excretion of water from the body, and at the same time nourishes the kidneys and other organs responsible for cleansing the body. Pour two teaspoons of dried or one tablespoon of fresh parsley with 250 ml of boiling water, cover and leave for 15 minutes, then strain and drink it while the tea is still hot. For better taste you can add a little lemon or honey. Drink 2 to 4 cups a day, and after three weeks take a break for a month to help the body recover from the diuretic effect.

Anise tea

In Ayurveda, this tea is used to improve digestive functions and relieve constipation, because it relaxes the muscles of the digestive system. In this way, fennel tea cleanses the body and helps flush toxins out of the body faster. Grind the fennel seeds in a pan, then pour 1 tablespoon of boiling water, leave for 5 minutes and then strain. The same procedure is used if you use fennel tea in bulk. Drink one cup 2 to 3 times a day, preferably after a meal.
