Chelsea found a replacement for Lukaku in the ranks of Everton
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has told the Blues's management to bring in Richardson from Everton in the summer transfer window as a new striker.
Romelu Lukaku is on the way out of Chelsea, he wants to return to Inter at any cost and because of that Tuhel asked the management to hire a new striker. The choice of the German who sits on the Chelsea bench is the Brazilian national team player Richardson, who is not a "classic nine", but he manages very well in that position.
The Brazilian is fast, aggressive, opens space for teammates and Tuhel thinks he can be more useful than Lukaku who did not do well in his second term at Stamford Bridge.
A problem for Chelsea could be the fact that Tottenham is showing interest in Richardson and that should raise the price.
Everton are asking for 80 million euros for their player, Tottenham offered 20 million less, which means that Chelsea will have to send a better offer. Last season, Richardson scored 11 goals and had 5 assists in the Everton shirt that managed to ensure survival in the Premier League in the finish.
