The season is reaching its peak and now is not the right time to talk about the potential return of Lionel Messi in Barcelona, said the head coach of the Catalan giant Xavi Hernandez.

Barcelona have already won the Spanish Super Cup, but they also have a chance for a triple crown. The Catalans are 12 points ahead of Real Madrid in the league and have a one-goal advantage ahead of the second leg of the Copa del Rey against their arch-rivals.

Messi is in the last months of his contract with PSG and the media in Spain expect the Argentine to wear the Barca shirt again in the summer. But for Xavi, the transfers will start only after the end of the season.

- Now is not the time to talk about Messi's return. I keep in touch with him as we are good friends but this is just not the time. I hope to see him here again and if that happens I will be the happiest of all. He is the best player in history, but now is not really the time to talk about a transfer. Next month we have battles for two more trophies and it's time to concentrate on that. This transfer doesn't depend on me anyway, it depends on Leo. He achieved everything in football and won everything. Everything depends on where he feels happy - says Xavi.

Messi also failed to win the Champions League with the French club this season. He currently has 13 goals in 23 appearances for Paris Saints in Ligue 1.
