After the demolition of a part of "9 May" street behind the Universal Hall, the Municipality of Centar is considering stricter measures for investors who build contrary to legal regulations. In a statement to the media today, the mayor of Centar Municipality Goran Gerasimovski said that the damage caused after the landslide on the street will be borne by the investor "Binjapi Engineering", which several times so far did not respect the warnings of the inspection services and continued with the construction activities against the legal regulations.

"We are considering legal possibilities, if any of the investors does not build according to the law and according to the approval that was given, the municipality will stop it and withdraw the construction permit. This morning we considered that possibility, but right now we need the land itself to be insured as soon as possible and to secure the pit that should protect the surrounding buildings," said Gerasimovski.

The inspection of the Municipality of Centar has so far issued several warnings to the investor "Binjapi Engineering". In the last warning, the municipal inspection ordered the developer to install reinforced concrete piles, the so-called. piles, for securing the pit, which he did not produce and thereby acted contrary to the building permit. By omitting the reinforced concrete piles, the developer endangered the surrounding buildings, and a part of "9 May" street collapsed, where the disputed construction site is located, which was closed several times by the construction inspection. Today, Centar Municipality fined the investor and contractor "Aradiko Kop DOOEL import export" for 12.500 euros.
