Gas prices in Europe will normalize only in 2025
Natural gas prices in Europe should be normalized only in 2025 with the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and strengthening of common infrastructure.
According to the Fitch agency report titled "Europe's worst gas crisis is over", the provision of liquefied natural gas and infrastructure strengthening stand out as key factors for Europe's long-term gas supply.
Increased LNG supply in Europe, mild weather conditions and steps to reduce demand avoided the worst-case scenario during the energy crisis. Gas demand in the European Union is down by 10 percent in 2022.
The report by the agency "Fitch" states that demand is expected to continue to fall this year and reach 15 percent.
It is also expected that LNG, which is the main alternative source in reducing dependence on Russian gas in the energy crisis, will continue to maintain its importance in Europe.
