Bulgarian President Radev visits Germany

The President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev is leaving today for the Federal Republic of Germany at the invitation of his host, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the press service of the Bulgarian President said.

According to the MIA correspondent from Sofia, on Monday, President Radev will have a "tete-a-tete" meeting with his German counterpart at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin.

After the meeting, he will talk with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Mayor of Berlin, Franciska Gifai.

The talks are expected to focus on bilateral relations, deepening economic and investment co-operation, as well as topics on the European Union agenda, diversifying energy supplies and strengthening Europe's security in the context of the Ukraine war.

Radev will also take part in the German-Bulgarian Business Forum organized by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce to be held at the House of German Industry in Berlin.

The Bulgarian head of state will meet with the Prime Minister of the Hamburg province and Mayor Peter Cencher on May 17 in Hamburg. He will also meet with the leadership of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, and will visit the company "Aurubis AG", which develops active economic activity in Bulgaria.
