The Bulgarian foundation "Macedonia" bought a football club in the country from the Third League
The President of the Bulgarian Foundation "Macedonia", Viktor Stojanov in an interview with Bulgarian media announced that they bought a football club in Macedonia from the Third League, but did not reveal which club it was. Stojanov announced that from the next season he will be renamed "Hero".
Yes, I can say we already have a team! The process is difficult because I cannot go to North Macedonia, I send people who lead the negotiations, take pictures of the stadium, meet the players, the management and the coach. We have another meeting next week. Legally, next week in the team association there will be our representative who will be the director, and the current director will become the deputy director. Things are delayed purely legally, because the team is registered as an association, not as a company, but for the Second League we will have to register it as a company - said Stojanov.
When asked what the name of the team is and what league it is in, he replied that he will not say the name of the team on purpose, and the headquarters of the team is near the Bulgarian border.
The reason is the licensing, I don't want them to come up with something and kick him out of the Third League and let our efforts fail. Not that they can't even after that, but it will be very difficult and scandalous - he adds.
Stojanov announced that the team will be financed by donations from the foundation's activists and announced that they will soon talk to various sponsors from Bulgaria.
This is the first Bulgarian team in the country after 80 years, and we will be looking for sponsors for whom it is emotionally important to have a Bulgarian team in the country - he adds.
In the interview, Stojanov emphasized that he expects support from the Bulgarian fans, who will travel and attend the matches.
