Brnabic on the situation in Kosovo: I have not a single good word to say about our partners in the EU and KFOR

The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, assessed that the reaction of the international peacekeeping force KFOR was delayed in the north of Kosovo, where there was a clash between the Serbian population and the Kosovo police, adding that today they are "protecting the usurpers of democracy and ordinary citizens", the MIA correspondent reported. from Belgrade.

- I don't have a single good word for our partners in the EU or our partners in KFOR, their reaction was late. "They had to be there on Friday, the way they are there today," said Brnabic.

She reminded that KFOR's mandate, according to UN Security Council resolution 1244, is to protect peace and stability, and above all, people.

-Today they do not protect people, they do not protect democracy, they do not protect institutions. They are there today to protect usurpers from democracy and ordinary people and ordinary citizens, Brnabic said.

She thanked the Serbian people in Kosovo for being "worthy" of the protests in front of the municipal buildings secured by KFOR and the Kosovo Police and stressed that Serbia must continue to maintain peace.

- These are difficult times, we are monitoring the situation, but this disregard for any democratic principles by the international community is really astonishing to me, and it is completely stripped and does not say anything good about them, she said.

When asked what could be Belgrade's next steps, Brnabic said that it is necessary to leave it to diplomacy and added that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had many phone conversations and meetings on that occasion.
