Brnabic believes in the guarantees of the international community for the formation of the ZSO
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, on the occasion of today's visit of the EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak to Pristina and Belgrade, assessed that the diplomatic activities are accelerating and the pressure is intensifying and added that she believes in the guarantees of the international community regarding the establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
She for RTS stated that Lajcak was going to Pristina first and that the establishment of the ZSO, as far as he could see, was a topic there, adding that she was not interested in Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's views on the matter.
Brnabic reminded that the FTA was agreed upon and negotiated ten years ago as part of the Brussels Agreement, in 2013 and 2015, and emphasized that he believes in the guarantees of the international community that it will be established that way.
She explained that she believes in the guarantees of the international community because, as she said, she does not know how they would guarantee any other agreement if this one is not fulfilled.
"It won't be easy," Brnabic said, adding that he expects manipulations and attempts to change the agreement "from Pristina's friends."
She also assessed that no one in the world, with the war in Ukraine and new tensions between the US and China, feels comfortable with any "potential conflict and instability" and wants, as she said, "to extinguish potential hot spots ".
Brnabic believes that the attitude of the West is to "put an end" to potential conflicts, "but also to remove precedents such as Kosovo from the agenda."
