British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is preparing to announce personnel changes in his government today and is considering options for a significant restructuring of ministries, The Times reported. The news of the planned changes comes nearly a week after Sunak sacked Conservative Party chairman Nadim Zahavi after an independent investigation into his tax affairs revealed a serious breach of the ministerial code of conduct.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy could be restructured "to reflect Sunak's priorities", tweeted The Times journalist Stephen Swinford, adding that the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport could also expects restructuring.

According to the British edition, the restructuring of the ministries may lead to the appointment of new ministers.

Sunak's office did not respond to requests for comment on those allegations.
