British cargo ship hit by a missile in the Red Sea

A British cargo ship sailing in the Red Sea was hit by a missile, the Ambri maritime security company said.

- A British Bahamian-flagged cargo ship was reportedly hit by a missile while transiting the Red Sea, approximately 34,5 kilometers northwest of Moka, Yemen - the company said in a statement, Beta reports.

Britain's Maritime Safety Agency (MSMA) said it had received a report of drone activity "near Bab el Mandeb, from the direction of Yemen".

Yemen's Houthi rebels have threatened to attack ships belonging to Israel and Israel's allies in the Red Sea in retaliation for the country's war against Palestinian Hamas in Gaza.
