The British claim that the Russians are suffering heavy tank losses
The UK Ministry of Defense has released a new intelligence report on the war in Ukraine.
In it they state that in recent days Russia has continued to prioritize attempts by its forces to encircle the town of Avdivka in the Donetsk region.
"However, Russian forces have made only marginal progress at the cost of heavy armored vehicle losses. The Russian 10th Tank Regiment probably lost much of its tanks while trying to encircle Avdivka from the south. The regiment is part of the Third Army Corps, the first major Russian reinforcement of the invasion of Ukraine," the British state.

"Numerous reports suggest that the Third Army Corps was particularly affected by problems of poor discipline and low morale. "Although this corps has probably undergone a period of training in Belarus, the formation still shows limited combat effectiveness," they continue.
"The losses of the 10th Tank Regiment were probably mostly caused by tactically flawed frontal attacks similar to those in other recent failed attacks on Russian armored vehicles, as was the case around the town of Vuledar," the British concluded.
