Brazilian Pique will pay Hamilton $950.000 for insult

The former world champion and legend in Formula 1, the Brazilian Nelson Pike will have to pay a fine of 950.000 dollars for racist insults towards Lewis Hamilton.
On Friday, a Brazilian court fined Pique for an interview from 2021 when he used insulting words about the Mercedes driver and former world champion.
Piquet insulted the seven-time world champion in an interview in November 2021, commenting on Hamilton's crash at the British GP with Max Verstappen.

The Brazilian later sent an apology to Hamilton through his team, but despite this, the British driver did not give up the lawsuit and it was eventually ruled in his favor.
In his career, Piquet managed to win three titles in Formula 1, in 1981, 1983 and 1987. The last time he participated in a race was in 1991.
