The Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, held a working meeting today with the Mayor of the Municipality of Makedonska Kamenica, Dimcho Atanasovski.

The main focus of the discussion was the possibilities for implementing energy efficiency projects, as well as the need to improve the energy infrastructure in the municipality in order to ensure energy stability and sustainable development of local communities.

Makedonska Kamenica, as a mining region with significant energy potential, was highlighted as an example of local development that can contribute to national energy goals.

Municipalities are a key partner in the efforts for sustainable energy transformation, emphasized Minister Božinovska. In order to meet national priorities, it is necessary to modernize local energy systems through joint projects and support and to create new opportunities for the development of mining in accordance with the highest environmental standards,

Mayor Atanasovski stressed the need to continue investment activities to improve the infrastructure in Makedonska Kamenica in order to ensure a better quality of life for the citizens and stronger economic development of the region, Atanasovski emphasized.
