The ski centers of Jahorina and Bjelašnica near Sarajevo are ready for the new winter season, and expect many guests from Croatia, counting on the fact that they will attract cheaper prices compared to other well-known ski centers.

Croats have been numerous guests of Jahorina for years, which this season welcomes with 47 kilometers of diverse trails, including 8,5 kilometers of lighted, solid vertical transport that can transport more than 28 thousand skiers per hour and additional accommodation facilities, writes Poslovni hr .

Some of the slopes have already been in operation since November thanks to the new artificial snow system that can function independently of the outside temperature, and the official opening of the ski season is announced for December 1. Constant investments are also the reason for the new prices of ski tickets in the 2022/2023 season, which are a quarter more expensive than the previous one.

A day ski pass for the entire season for adults costs 37 euros, and a six-day ski pass costs 159 euros. These prices are also valid for the traditional Croatian ski week after the New Year holidays.

Although these prices are extremely high by the standards of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they are 50 percent lower than the average ski ticket prices in Austria, and as a special benefit, Jahorina offers free skiing for everyone over 75 years old. And the neighboring Bjelašnica offers significant accommodation facilities, but a somewhat more modest selection of trails with a total length of 14,3 kilometers, of which a little less than 10 kilometers are marked with black or red markings, including the Olympic downhill.
