His wife, Sanela, reported Enver missing on December 30 after failing to find him for more than 24 hours. She tried to seek help through several Facebook groups, but received no useful information.
"Please help, if anyone can help me. On December 24, 2024, my husband and I returned from our honeymoon in Dubai. On December 24, we were supposed to fly to Sarajevo, but we decided to stay in Istanbul to spend the New Year holidays. However, the last time I saw my husband was on December 29, 12 in Istanbul," Sanela wrote in the post.
"I am desperate, sick, please give me any information, instructions, I don't know what to do anymore. Please help. My husband's name is Burić Enver, from Visoko. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black T-shirt, black sneakers, black jacket and a green backpack. I will emphasize, he disappeared without a single lira. Please help, any instructions, advice, etc. would be helpful. Thank you in advance. Please," Sanela posted on Facebook.
The disappearance was reported to the police in Istanbul, and the Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul and the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ankara were also notified. After several days of searching in Istanbul, the wife returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina and reported the case to the police in Visoko.
A police spokesman said today that Sanela Burić had called the police and said that the Bosnian Embassy in Ankara had informed her that Enver had been found. "He is currently in a deportation center and will soon leave for Bosnia," the police spokesman said. It is not yet known under what circumstances Burić disappeared, how and where he was and what he was doing during the 20 days in which there was no trace of him.
